01Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or accessing the RootX Android application or website (rootx.aurixofficial.in), or by purchasing a RootX Pro license, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the software.

02Intellectual Property Rights

The software application RootX — including its user interface design, visual branding, RootX logo, compiled application binary, source architecture, custom Linux integrations, E12v terminal engine, AI assistant integration, and the official website — is the exclusive intellectual property of AurixHQ.

• You may not copy, decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code from RootX.
• You may not remove, alter, or replace any AurixHQ branding, copyright notices, or legal disclaimers.
• Third-party open-source components (e.g., Alpine Linux, Ubuntu, Kali Linux, Termux packages, language runtimes) remain the property of their respective copyright holders and their open-source licenses apply.

03Account, Google Sign-In & License Binding

RootX accounts are created and authenticated via Google OAuth 2.0 (Firebase Authentication). By creating an account, you authorize RootX to store your display name, email, and profile photo in our Firebase Firestore cloud database for subscription management and license activation.

• Single-User License: Each RootX Pro license is bound to a single Google account UID. Sharing, transferring, or reselling your Pro license or account credentials is strictly prohibited.
• Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials used to access RootX.

04User Responsibility & Code Execution

RootX provides a native Linux terminal, code editor, and compilation environment on Android. You retain 100% ownership of all code you create.

• Terminal Responsibility: You are solely responsible for all commands, shell scripts, package installations, and network requests executed via the RootX terminal (Bash, Zsh, Alpine apk, Ubuntu apt, Kali toolchains, etc.).
• Prohibited Uses: You agree NOT to use RootX to build, compile, deploy, or distribute: malware, ransomware, network attack scripts, unauthorized port scanners, or any software that violates Indian or international cybercrime laws (including but not limited to the IT Act, 2000).
• Kali Linux / Penetration Tools: RootX Pro includes official Kali Linux ARM64 subsystem with penetration testing tools (Nmap, Metasploit, etc.). These tools must be used only for authorized and legal security research on systems you own or have explicit written permission to test.

05AI Assistant (OpenRouter API) — Usage Terms

RootX includes an AI Coding Assistant powered by OpenRouter API integration.

• API Key Ownership: Users must enter their own OpenRouter API key in the RootX app settings. API keys are stored locally on the user's device.
• No Guarantee of Accuracy: AI-generated code suggestions are provided "as-is". AurixHQ is not liable for bugs, errors, or security vulnerabilities in AI-generated code.
• Third-Party AI Terms: AI requests are subject to OpenRouter's Terms of Service.

07Limitation of Liability & Local Data Disclaimer

RootX operates as a local-first application. You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your project files.

08Disclaimer of Warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, COMPATIBILITY WITH EVERY ANDROID DEVICE OR CUSTOM ROM, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

09Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
